Happy New Year! Will it be another gangbuster year for stocks, or are we gearing up for a lost decade? Predictions are all over the map, and a new presidential administration only adds to the uncertainty. The good news is you don't have to guess correctly where the market is headed.

With a diversified asset mix, your portfolio is prepared for whatever may come. This includes some good income generators, especially if you're in retirement. There's no need to get fancy. It's usually best to stick to low-cost securities offered on the public markets. In the investing world (and elsewhere), "exclusive" often just means expensive.
